Pneumomediastinum and subcutaneous emphysema are uncommon in pediatric parctice except in association with Respiratory distress and active resuscitation in the neonatal period and as a complication of asthma in later childhood. This 2 year old male was admitted with chief complaints of dyspnea and hoarseness for 4 days.

A case of typhoid meningitis in a 9 year old korean male child is reported. The patient was admitted complaints of high fever, severe headache and projectile vomiting. The diagnosis was established by laboratory finding and clinical maniestation. Literature reviews were a so made briefly.
